Expulsion question

I recently got kicked out of my High School (Mercia School in Sheffield) because I was sick.

I woke up almost fainting due to a cold and my mum called the school and told them I'd be ill. They called my dad because I wasn't in school even though my mum told them I was going to be out. My dad was okay with me taking a day off from school but I had to go explain the situation.

When I went to the school to explain (I live 5 minutes away walking) the office lady thought I was lying when I told her I was sick.

Then when my math teacher came in, I asked him if I could leave because it was all cleared. He then called my mum and said I was being very rude. Even though I wasn't. I'm very shy and I could never raise my voice against anyone.

Then I got a call from my mum saying that I would be kicked out.

It's not fair, so I was wondering if there's anything I can do to get back in.

Anime like Candy Candy

I recently watched an anime called Candy Candy and loved it. Now I want to watch something similar.

Basically what I'm looking for is:

  1. Coming-of-age story

  2. Strong romance element

  3. Emotional, tragic, and really sad moments

  4. Drama

  5. A happy ending. I do not want to watch a series where one of the two people in the main romance dies by the end

The setting doesn't have to be historical. If there is an anime in which the setting is modern, that is completely fine too.

I've already heard about Sandybell, Lady Georgie, Daddy Long Legs, Alpen Rose, Wakakusa no Charlotte, and Ashita no Nadja. Violet Evergarden and Glass Mask also gave me some strong Candy Candy vibes too.

Any recommendations? They don't have to be older anime. I'm down to watch modern day anime shows too.

If there isn't anything you can think of, it'd be great if you could give me manga, manwha, TV Series, Kdrama/Jdrama, movies, japanese movies, books, game recommendations, etc.

I finished the anime like 3 days ago and although it was slow at times, I really miss it and I loved it. I really want something else like this. Make sure its romance please.
