So I was recently told I might be getting a promotion at work this is a really good opportunity for me and I really want it but they do a 14year background check for it and I'm worried about something in my past. Let me start by saying I take full responsibility for what I did I'm not trying to diminish anything. So I worked for walmart almost 10 years ago and was fired for sexual harassment. I don't know exactly what I did they wouldn't let me read the statement against me but I was a dumb 23 year old and I would make inappropriate jokes at times or play grab ass with my friends and I obviously made someone feel uncomfortable which is not ok I've done major growing since then and always try to be professional now but that's a serious thing to be fired for even so many years ago. My question is how should I go about discussing this I don't want to lie and just not include it but I'm also worried the second someone sees it they'll just look at me like I'm some sort of predator and deny me.
