I have over 10 years of experience in the field, yet they went ahead with someone with "more experience"

I'm done. I'm cooked. I can't do this anymore. They were so close to onboarding me, told me my interview was the best they ever had, they checked my references, everything. I did everything right and now there are no postings for that field in this city or the one adjacent to me. I'm feeling absolutely defeated.

What are you supposed to do when you do literally everything right and put your all into it yet nothing comes of it?

I'm about to lose everything because my field isn't hiring, and no one wants to hire me outside of my field because I pigeonholed myself into this particular role....

I am an Early Childhood Educator with a diploma level, yet can't seem to find more than a part-time job that's giving me 3 hours a day (it was fulltime but it's no longer) I'm trying to apply to other places before I lose my place completely, but I keep getting rejected from place after place. Please let me know if there is anything I can improve upon on this resume. TIA.
