I’m 24F and my boyfriend is 25M (he’s a cinematographer). We’ve been together for 2.5 years. Things are mostly okay, but there’s one issue that keeps coming back. Earlier he used to follow a lot of random girls on Instagram. I had a problem with it and after talking about it many times, he reduced it. Now he still follows a lot of hot influencers (he says it’s because he works with them) and some random girls who don’t even follow him back. In September, I saw his Instagram feed and it was full of girls. I asked him if he watches porn, he said no. But after 2 days, I found screenshots of porn stars on his phone. When I asked him about it, he got very aggressive instead of being honest. Then in November, I checked his deleted folder and found pictures of his ex and many other girls. We had a big fight. During that he grabbed my arms very tightly multiple times and it left bruises. We somehow moved on from it, but I don’t think it was really resolved. After that, I stopped checking his phone because it was affecting me mentally. A few days ago, I again noticed him following random girls. When I asked, he said it’s normal. Yesterday, I saw that he made AI-generated romantic pictures with a girl he knows personally (hugging, holding hands, kissing). after confronting him he got mad at me for checking his phone.
I’m not sure what to think anymore. I feel confused, hurt, and tired.
I would really appreciate some advice on how to handle this situation.
