How do you grow a mobile app organically?

I recently launched my first Android app, Dopamine Tracker, which helps people reduce mindless scrolling and screen time.

The app is live on Google Play, but I'm trying to grow it organically rather than immediately spending money on ads.

So far I'm thinking about:

  • Reddit communities
  • X/Twitter content and replies
  • Short-form videos
  • ASO
  • SEO/content

For those of you who have successfully grown a mobile app organically:

What actually worked for you?

I'm especially interested in how you got your first 100–1,000 users and which channels turned out to be a waste of time.

I'd also love to hear about unconventional strategies that worked surprisingly well.

The app release is really fresh, just hit 1.5 weeks and didnt get any users except family and friends.
I know that Its not a niche app and its actually a bit training app for me since its my first app and building many on the background with better and solid ideas.

So far I have shared some posts and comments on high traffic reddit comms and on X.

Considering about short form videos to post on TikTok.

I need some valuable insights and recommendations.

How does NSS avoid lawsuits from football teams?

I wonder how NSS avoids to get lawsuit from big teams. Yes I know they don't use full club names but the abbreviations are really close to the real club names?

Does anyone know?
