Worth or no ? Going to fly there also anyone who got a job after training?

I’m an 18-year-old Indian student planning to travel to Budapest, Hungary, but from what I’ve researched, the Hungarian embassy seems quite strict with tourist visas, especially for young applicants.
Because of that, I’m considering applying through another Schengen country first and then traveling onward to Hungary. I wanted to ask which embassy would give me the best chances as an Indian student with limited travel history.
A few details about my profile:
- Parents are sponsoring the trip
- Father is a government employee
- Around ₹15 lakh available in bank statements
- I’m enrolled in the Indigo Cadet Pilot Program
- Previous travel history: Thailand and Saudi Arabia
- Purpose is genuine tourism/travel
I know visa approval depends heavily on documentation and the visa officer’s decision, but based on experience and approval trends, which embassy would you target among:
- France
- Switzerland
- Austria
- Czech Republic
- Slovakia
Which one is generally considered more reasonable or gives better chances to young Indian applicants?
Would appreciate honest advice, especially from Indians who recently applied for Schengen visas.
Hey everyone,
I’m an 18-year-old Indian student trying to decide between doing my EASA flight training in Prague or Hungary, and I’d really appreciate honest advice from people who know the industry or have trained there.
My current options are:
Fly For Fun in Prague — around €58k
Cavok in Hungary — around €54k
The price difference isn’t huge, but I’m also thinking long term, not just training cost.
One important factor is that I may need to do a part-time job while studying/training to help manage living expenses. Because of that, Prague seems attractive since I feel there could be more opportunities, better pay, and maybe a better overall environment for students/internationals compared to Hungary.
At the same time, I don’t want to choose a place just because of city life and then regret it later if the training quality, airline connections, weather, or job prospects after CPL/ATPL are weaker.
So I wanted to ask:
Which location is actually better for long-term career growth?
Is Prague realistically better for part-time work and student life?
Which school has the better reputation among airlines and instructors?
Are living costs in Prague much higher than Hungary in reality?
Would training in Prague help more with networking/opportunities later in Europe?
How difficult is it to balance flight training with a part-time job?
I’d really appreciate practical advice instead of marketing answers.
Thanks.
I’ve been offered a flight training program in Uruguay for around $55k USD including accommodation. The school says the full training would take about 10 months, and if it exceeds that duration, the accommodation costs would still be covered by the flying school.
I wanted to ask — how is Uruguay for flight training overall?
- Is it safe for international students?
- How’s the weather for flying?
- Are there good flying hours availability / less delays?
- Any issues with maintenance, instructors, or aviation standards?
- Has anyone here trained in Uruguay or knows someone who did?
I’m an Indian student currently exploring options outside Europe due to cost and delays, so I’d really appreciate honest feedback or experiences before making a decision.

Guys is it true that Garuda backlog is finished and everything is running smoothly? One of my friend applied in March got pre screening in may and they are saying he will get adapts in June and gd and pi in July ! Also they said they will send him for flying in first quarter of 2027
Just want a honest review about how true it might be
I’m researching flight schools in Hungary for a 0 to Frozen EASA ATPL program and wanted honest opinions from people who actually trained there or know someone who did.
The schools I’m currently considering are:
- CAVOK
- Airwin
- Pannon Air
- Multifly
Main things I care about:
- Training quality
- Instructor quality
- Aircraft availability
- Delays/waiting times
- Hidden costs
- English communication
- Overall professionalism
- Airline readiness after training
I’m trying to avoid choosing only based on the cheapest price and then regretting it later because of delays or poor management.
If anyone has real experience with any of these schools:
- Which one would you choose today for 0-ATPL?
- Which one should be avoided?
- Did the final cost increase a lot from the advertised price?
- How long did training actually take?
Would really appreciate honest feedback, especially from current/former students.
Hi everyone,
I’m thinking about doing my EASA ATPL training at Best Fly KFT in Hungary. They have a 0 to hero program that goes from zero flying experience all the way to a frozen ATPL.
I wanted to ask if anyone here has actually trained there or knows someone who has. How was the overall experience? How professional are the instructors, aircraft maintenance, scheduling, and training quality?
Also, realistically, how long did it take you (or others) to complete the whole program from start to finish?
Another thing I’m worried about is the final cost. The advertised price looks attractive, but did the cost increase during training because of extra hours, delays, accommodation, exam retakes, fuel surcharges, etc.? If yes, roughly by how much?
I’d really appreciate honest reviews, good or bad, before making such a big decision. Thanks!
