I recently applied for the MSc Infection Biology program at University of Lübeck for the Winter 2026 intake, and I wanted to understand the admission process a bit better from those who’ve gone through it.
My profile:
- BSc in Microbiology
- CGPA: 8.14/10
- IELTS: 7
A few things I’m curious about:
How long does it usually take to hear back after submitting the application?
Is there typically an interview or entrance test, or is selection purely based on documents?
What factors seem to matter most (GPA, SOP, research experience, etc.)?
When do admission decisions usually start rolling out?
For international students, how long do we get to accept the offer and proceed with visa steps?
Also, if anyone here is currently studying (or got accepted earlier), I’d love to hear about your experience with the selection process.
