So during Saint's campaign we know that all (or most) the iterators somehow became "dormant", but what does this actually mean? Did the iterators die like SOS, or did they end up in the same state as pebbles or moon? Most likely their equipment eroded far beyond repair, and they all stopped working afterwards, but shouldn't some of them still be able to communicate? (as seen by how LttM could send a signal to FP despite her state, with only 1 rarefaction cell). And according to the downpour lore, I doubt any of the iterators wouldn't try to help each other when some started becoming "dormant" before themselves. This feels like something important that I don't see any elaboration on in any parts of the lore.
