Received an interview invitation from a company I don't remember applying to
Sorry if it sounds stupid. So I received a meeting invitation from an US-based organization which I'm 100% sure I never applied to. The email doesn't mention the role, not even the word "interview", zero information so not even sure if it's an interview at all.
I've searched about them and they do have their linkedIn and website established, their app (something related to stocks trading) is also listed on playstore with lots of downloads as well . Searched one of the participant's name on linkedIn and his background is of mobile app development.
For now, I've replied to the organizer to get more info from them but I'm still pretty skeptical about the whole thing. If I don't get a response before the scheduled time, should I still prepare for an interview and join the meeting? Has anyone experienced something similar before? I don't want to fall for a scam (not that they can take much from me lol), but I also don't want to miss out on a potentially good opportunity.
