Hello fellow water enjoyers, I come here for advice.

I've got this brita pitcher since forever, it works fine, but every time I make the cleanup-refilter routine I'm unable to neither remove nor clean the moss inside the bottom part :(

Does anybody have any advice? I tried with a knife to no avail.

I don't want to buy a new one if this one works already unless I absolutely need to.

Should I accept my fate and surrender?
