Best rentals to tow my car and haul a small amount of belongs out of state.

I’m going from Florida to Texas and U-Haul quoted me $1900 for on-way. I may have a friend that could help me do round-trip to make it cheaper but I’m also trying to explore my options. Does anyone have any suggestions of where to shop around? I am hauling my car as well as some belongings (not many - should potentially fit in a truck bed).

I’m trying to compare prices for both round-trip and one-way.

Thank you!

Looking to Connect with a DSP Owner in San Antonio, TX

Hi everyone!

I currently work for a DSP in Florida but will most likely be relocating to San Antonio within the next few weeks.

I’d love to get connected with a DSP before I arrive so I can make the transition as smooth and fast as possible.

Ideally, I’m looking for a DSP that offers overtime outside of peak season too, but I’m very flexible and always willing to help where needed.

At my current DSP, I not only have done regular routes but was trusted to take rental vans back to the rental facility, transport vans to Rivian, run recycle routes, and handle rescues—both as a full shift or after completing my own route (I’ve done up to 2–3 rescues after my route when time allowed).

I have applied to a couple DSPs in San Antonio through indeed but personally prefer connecting with people directly.

Thank you!

Considering moving to San Antonio, Texas (I’m out of state), what would be the easiest way to get into a DSP there?

So when I got hired at my DSP I never applied online, I just knew someone with that DSP that helped connect me with the boss. I know you can apply online, but I’m concerned that if I put my application in with my current address that I will be basically applying to a DSP where I live? I haven’t fully looked through the application process to be honest, so I am not entirely sure the best method for this.

Any tips or tricks would be great, or if someone there could maybe connect me with their boss that would also be amazing…

Lightning is a safety hazard for warehouse workers?

You’re telling me that the pad is completely shut down because it’s not safe for warehouse workers to come out when there’s lightning, but we have to deliver in that among other terrible weather conditions?

Crazy bro.

EDIT:
I’m not going to comment on the location of the warehouse but iykyk 🤷🏻‍♀️

Here’s how to keep your AC running in the EDV without shutting the door!

Now TECHNICALLY this is a 100% possible BUT daddy Bezos will be upset with you if he finds out you’re doing it so this post is strictly informational.

First you need to trick the van into thinking the door is shut. In order to do this you have to push the latch down (yellow) all the way to where it clicks twice.

>NOTE: it’s easiest to use something small and skinny like a car key to push it down, and if it’s not all the way down to where it locks in place this method won’t work.

The most important part to remember is that at the end of your route you need to stick your finger in that little circle (red) to unlock the latch and close the door.

Assuming you’re not out of the drivers seat for more than 10 minutes, your AC should stay on all day!
