GS Camp Anxiety 🏕️
Ok, so overall we really like GS but it’s the camps I’m having a hard time with and I’m wondering if we’re an unusual exception.
This is what happened, sent the kid to her first GS overnight camp in spring 2025 (brownie). She and multiple other girls had had potty accidents because the toilets were terrible and they were scared to use them at night. Second time was a different location and I went with her, she caught a chest cold then came down with pneumonia. This most recent time we just did the day camp and she caught lice there I’m pretty sure. I’m about to write off camp. But it’s so fun for her, she loves it. I’m conflicted, because maybe I could have done some things different too. But rn we’re 3/3.
