How to stay cool in the heat with long hair
Helloooo everyone. This has never really been an issue for me but with the insane heat in the UK this summer, I’m struggling now.
Keeping it up in a bun gives me a horrid headache after a while. A ponytail is no good because if it’s high up it gives me a headache after a while and if it’s low down it irritates my neck. A regular plait is no good because my hair is a bit frizzy and it always comes loose. Last two days I’ve been putting it in a dutch braid (which I was suddenly magically able to do now that it’s hot, I could never do one before!) and so far so good as I don’t have to do it too tight for the hair to stay in, so this is a good option, but I’m just wondering what everyone else does if they experience the same issues with those other hair styles?
EDIT: thanks for all the advice lovelies! Claw clips usually make my head ache too 🥲 maybe investing in a large one could help, although yeah take em out if you’re in the car! I’ll have to try a hair stick, and the wet hair one as a built in AC is genius 😂😂
