6 week progress! Feeling great!

6 week progress! Feeling great!

For reference… this shirt used to actually fit me many years ago. Decided to use an old shirt(Large) to help keep up with progress especially when I don’t see it.

I start my third week on 5mg tomorrow after a month of 2.5mg. Down about 18lbs. Averaging around 3lbs a week but that has been slowing down as the first few weeks things dropped dramatically. Definitely want to get into a normal 1-2lb a week groove. I’ve been counting calories, weighing food, tracking macros, going to the gym 3x a week, hydrating, etc etc. Truth be told working harder then I ever have before Zep.

Many days I don’t see it, but taking these side by side comparisons really do tell a different story - especially outside of the scale.

Some of my favorite pictures from my recent trip to Tokyo.

First time ever to Japan. I can’t wait to go back…

Even my takeout orders are healthy(er)!

This medication continues to amaze me daily. Been on 5mg for a few weeks. About 6 weeks into my Zepbound journey.

Never in a million years would I think I’d go to Popeyes and order only a 3 piece chicken strip… NOT FRIED BUT… blackened with a side of red beans and rice. Skipping the biscuit… and instead of dipping my grilled tenders in my favorite sauce(ranch)… dipping them in 0 cal hot sauce.

A great and filling snack for only 400 calories and 33g of protein!

Nootropics suggestions for weight loss journey with GLP-1

Hey yall,

Friend talked to me about Nootropics and I’m curious yalls suggestions to include with what I already take on a daily basis with my supplement stack.

A few details. 32M 292lbs. On Zepbound for weight loss in conjunction with lifting weights 3x a week and a caloric deficit.

I take a multi vitamin, fish oil, vitamin D/K, a probiotic and potassium(mine is low).

Thanks for any input!

The constant battle of being proud of my progress and feeling like I’ve made no progress at all!

I’m sure a lot of folks can relate. I started Zepbound last month and within the last 5 weeks am down 15lbs. I’m very proud and happy with my progress. I can feel changes in clothing, and how I feel just doing normal things… but man sometimes I walk past a mirror or window and look at myself and think “dang bro, you still got a long way to go. You still look fat.”

This is a long road, and I know I need to get used to the ups and downs of the long term investment of my health and my body. Just stinks sometimes when you feel good for a few days but just look at yourself at the right angle and think “man you got a long way to go.

Just needed to get that off my chest! Cheers yall.

HELP! How to get over severe jet lag?!

It is officially day 3 since I’ve traveled back from Japan to the USA. This is the farthest I’ve been and the worst jet lag I’ve had. Since returning I haven’t been able to sleep for more then 1-3 hour blocks and then I’ll wake up wide awake in the middle of the night. I am wide awake at 2am right now and have been just laying in bed in and out of what doesnt even feel like sleep. In desperate need of help to fix this!

So I just got back from a trip to Japan for a week for the very first time. Generally - when I go on vacation somewhere I am focusing m on trying all the new and tasty foods, breweries, etc. Which I feel is great, within reason.

Generally though on a vacation I’d typically “gain” 5–10lbs. However after stepping on the scale when I returned I was excited to see I went from 297.6 to 296.9. Granted… I did average 20K steps a day but it’s just a really great feeling to be able to enjoy a vacation, and enjoy the things I used to enjoy before Zep but just in a more reasonable and responsible way.

Cheers!

It certainly isn’t the prettiest, and I’m sure my neighbors will think I’m nuts, however... I used an old fishing pole and 40ft of wire and just attached the pole to my railing. I gotta say, what a difference that has made. I’ve never been able to scroll though the 20M band and here so many people.

Haven’t been in the 290s since last year… and I haven’t see ANYTHING in the 280s in probably 3-4 years. Here’s to never seeing the 300s ever again!
