How do i reduce my accent?

This is probably too short of a recording and vocabulary to clearly map out my accent but still give it a go.

Let's learn together or share experiences

So im looking for someone to kinda practice or like learn japanese alongside me by sharing experiences, resources or methods and stuff.

My japanese level: I'm new to AJATT. I started this with the influence of matt vs japan and my own beliefs. It's been 3 months since i decided to learn japanese. Prior to this i watched a lot of anime (with subs) and i would like to think i have a good grasp of how the language sounds in general (cuz as with many beginners, they cant like hear different words apart and everything is kinda slurred) but i still lack a lot of actual study (input) i know most of the N5 kanji and doing RTK paired with anki (currently at 260 smthn). I'm immersing with native japanese content on a regular basis and im getting good at parsing whats being said even if i might not exactly know what it means. Basically i can watch like native content and understand about 20% of it without subtitles (jap)

Why i want a study partner: there are times when i get kinda lazy and i wish i had person to share progress or experiences with which would motivate me more to learn. So please DM me if you're interested.

Content for immersion

Im fairly New to AJATT and looking for suitable content for me to watch. People have suggested me to just find the japanese equivalent of whatever i watch it English but I'm trying that for days now. Two problems arise: either the content uses difficult language that's hard for me to understand or the content in fact not what i like to watch.

About me and what i like to watch:

I have around 1000 hours of listening through anime before i decided to actually learn the language. It wasn't very conscious listening. I just liked anime and it happened to be in japanese. But i still got a grasp of how the language sounds. I know most of the N5 kanji and currently doing RTK (lesson 11 about 250 kanji in) apart from knowing kana. I can understand N5 content and i know a lot of word outside of N5 but have no contextual understanding of them so they kinda dont count.

I grew up watching a shit ton of youtube as a kid and that's how learned english and want to replicate that again. I watched a lot of different stuff but what most of them had in common was they were like explanation videos or like interesting stuff not someone gaming for 2 hours and swearing every 2 minutes. Examples of channels i like to watch: NileRed, Wired interviews, kurzgesagt, ryan george (comedy), The film theorists, Vsauce.

What few channels i like in japanese: Kaname naito (but his videos are not completely japanese), peko peko vlog (niche channel. Talks naturally)

Please suggest anything you think is worth checking out. I would like content that is about a topic rather than like everyday vlogs and stuff.

Where do you think i'm from?

I want to kinda neutralize my accent to something american-ish. It would be really helpful if you could suggest specific things that stand out and generally what to improve. Also guess where im from.

Looking for an English speaking partner

Im 18M and im pretty much fluent in english. But i need to work on my conversational skills cuz im generally bad at talking to people regardless of the language.

I'm well aware of conversation/language exchange apps and sites like hellotalk and stuff. But they have become more of like a dating platform than actual "language learning" and even if i do find someone genuinely interested in improving through mutual help, it never works out due to time-zone problems and such.

So i'm looking for a fellow country-man (or woman it doesn't really matter) to practice talking to. Not just as a gimmick cuz i'm sure we will have things in common so it wont feel forced. I'm okay with voice calls and maybe later video calls. Also you dont need to be my age or anything.

My hobbies or things that we might have in common:

I'm learning japanese (currently about n4 and doing AJATT)

I like drawing. I'm good at it

I play chess but not that frequently anymore. My average elo is about 1080 on chess dot com

And in general i would love to talk about anything be it an interesting topic. Pls DM me if interested

Desperately in need of a native English speaker to talk to

I have posted "seeking to practice english" on many of these subreddits. But all i get are people that just want to practice as a hobby and most of them cant hold like a proper conversation the minute it gets beyond "what are your hobbies"

Dont get me wrong here, Even I am not proficient in the language yet and i do respect people wanting to learn and practice a language through mutual help.

What I'm getting to is, I need a native speaker who is interested not in like helping me learn english but just talking (voice chat), being friends and even debating.

It would be even better if you wanna skip the initial awkward talk and get straight into something meaningful like talking about a specific subject like world hunger or smth. Im not an expert or even good at most things i do (maybe except for like drawing) but i can talk about a variety of topics. So just hit me up if you just want to talk to someone and you're a native english speaker

TL;DR: I want someone (native english speaker) to talk to. Im C1 in english and interested in a variety of topics. Hit me up
