I applied for visiting visa for my parents in March. I showed around 30k aud as financial support for their visit but didn't submit anything from my home country. My friends parents got the visa but mine got denied. Im on 485 visa currently, i want to apply again with additional financial documents like property and pension. Is it wise to apply now or should I wait for sometime and are there risks of rejection again?

My passport expires in 6 months and i have to renew it. It has my us visiting visa on it. Will they retain my old passport? If yes, what should I do?
