I have been worried for a while about whether paroxetine might cause brain damage. I am 25 years old and have been taking it for 6 years, 5.5 of which were at 20 mg. I am currently taking 10 mg. I went to the GP today and immediately asked if paroxetine really causes brain damage. They said that it is possible to affect your memory. I can't find anything about this online. I have a new job and conduct many formal conversations. Could the medication possibly affect my speech and language, and will I have problems with this forever, even after stopping? I am thinking about stopping completely in a few weeks.
