600pp Suzuka how is R. Kokubun so fast?
R. Kokubun uses the RE Amemiya Rx-7 for the Suzuka 600pp Race (as well as all the other 600pp races). I just can't seem to beat him with that car no matter how I tune it and using nitrous. I seem to have more corner speed than the other cars, but it lacks top end speed. I've added ballast so I don't have to detune the engine as much and it helps but I just can' t pass him in 4 laps. I' got close enough once to be about 1.5 seconds or so behind as we entered the start finish straight. I'm on Sports Softs and wonder if the computer is using hard tires so more HP on the engine. I have beat It with an engine swapped BRZ but IIRC it was also one of the rare times he wasn't in the lead. As a rotary guy, I'd sure like to beat him with the RX-7. Anybody have any idea what the computer's tune is though I'm guessing there is no way to know.
