Honestly whether it’s on socials or just hearing people talk in general it’s like there’s a divide between Caribbeans and Africans during this time period and it’s usually equipped with a lot of underlying animosity when ever mainly Caribbeans be trying to diss africans for their culture and be trying to exclude them from carnival and have more to say towards them then white or asians which is crazy because nottinghill carnival derives from black history aligned with windrush where white people also gave them a hard time and within carnival there’s certain elements of African drums and music which people don’t know but yet there’s a constant diaspora battle between the two that amplifies as time draws closer to NHC lol it’s a bag of nonsense and ignorance honestly.

Hearing that James brown after watching that ass whooping had me on the floor 🤣 it was so authentic and suited the situation but was so unserious at the same time lol going to miss that old school essence this show carried, hopefully Origins still contains that same feel… anyways Marvin watch yo back, they coming for you n*gga 👀

From what we’ve seen in the OG Power then watching RK and seeing his development with what awaits us in origins it’s always made me wonder what was it that made Kanan not want to expand beyond the southside and taking in Ghost and Tommys plans to becoming a big empire? Unless there was things that we’re yet to learn within what Ghost and Tommy was proposing that could’ve potentially been a hindrance to Kanan which is why he declined their plan but I do doubt that since Ghost was a careful planner and would ensure a plan he made would come to fruition with minimal risks without effecting them.

So it does make me ponder why K was so against their plan to take over New York with no risk factor and looking back at RK it seems he was overly attached to southside Jamaica queens with all his family moments and his come up being from there and shaping who he is he didn’t want to abandon what he had made there and possibly couldn’t see beyond that in an institutionalised sense. As much as young Kanan makes careless mistakes throughout RK he is smarter than your average kid and has a great deal of street sense for someone his age but we as the viewers diminish that because we see the whole scope of the field (snaps and pops manipulation, his somewhat unbiased hatred for Raq despite her lies, his desensitised feelings towards killing Lou etc.) but anyone his age in that situation would be acting the same way as they would be oblivious. But not to stray away too much from the point I say that to say this, Kanan is an intelligent individual, came up underneath kingpins and killers, and raised two of the most prominent drug dealers that RAN a whole state, so credit where it’s due but with all of this knowledge and power he had in his prime what could’ve made him not want anything bigger than the south side and get in line with Ghost and Tommy when he’s always been really ambitious, it couldn’t have been a big brother thing where he saw Ghost and Tommy as too insignificant to step to him with a plan because he was humble enough to roll with Tariq who was wayyyy younger than him so what was the real reason he wouldn’t listen to Ghost and Tommys plan?

He needs to go beserk on Raq not just Kanan, this would be the perfect way for that bond to break and is going to be the last straw between them and I need Raq to atleast somewhat feel his wrath from the cover up she did and just disposing Lou’s body in the middle of no where like that, it’s not fair only Kanan gets to see that side of Marvin especially with them two now being the last siblings left we gotta get somewhat even just a one scene of Marvin getting at Raq even if it’s just one scene as we’ve always seen Raq punk her older brother without no rebuttal

Rare that we ever see the death and funeral within the same episode, majority of the time it will be 1 or 2 episodes apart but I’m glad they kept the pacing fast even though we’re still digesting Lou’s death. But this just goes to show you how much more is due to unfold especially with it only being 8 episodes this season, from here on out I’m expecting total carnage
