So I know there are paid camping sites (50$) a night, planning a 5 day round trip with 7 mates (we will stop halfway and return the way we came) and someone told us that around the official campsites on Grampians Peak Trail there's a small exclusion zone with no camping so obviously not camping there, however it's okay to camp outside this exclusion zone and out of harm's way as long as we are quiet. Is this considered alright or are there consequences and is the 50$ a night the way to go.
