Is there any profesional way to say "doctor, you're making the Lep confused, don't dumb down the message, use less words."
I want to say from the start this is not a "LEP'S DUMB" post.
I've seen happening many times, a doctor explaining some results or their medical opinions to the Lep, some, not all don't have any schooling and have a hard time understanding medical topics even when using simple terms.
The Lep will say "no entiendo" and the doctor will proceed to make a even longer more detailed explanation, when the Lep was just asking a yes or no question like a "pero va a estar bien? O cómo?"
I understand from the medical side things are not black and white, they want to give an comprehensive and detailed answer, but making the explanation longer even with simple words makes some LEP's even more confused.
Sometimes I've wanted to say "doctor you're confusing the patient, please just answer the question and don't add details because you're gonna lose them". Is there any way to do this? Or am I overstepping my role?
