The final Bruiser.

Had the incredible privilege to place remote cameras at SLC-41 and watch the launch from ~3 miles away. Thought I’d share some of my work from this one. Gonna miss 551, she was a beaut.

Have the AF issues between adapted Sigma lenses been fixed yet?

I’m currently looking into purchasing the Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary to adapt to an RF camera. I currently shoot with the R50 but am upgrading to the R7 in the not too distant future. I also currently have the RF 800mm f/11, which suits my needs almost perfectly most of the time, but I’ve found frequently I need to go a little wider and faster while also still being in the telephoto range. Yes I have considered the RF 100-500, 200-800, and 100-400, and have even rented the RF 100-400, but the cost of the former two puts it outside my budget and the RF 100-400 I wasn’t fully happy with.

This led me to consider the Sigma EF 100-400, which from everything I’ve seen is incredibly sharp. I do know though that in the past, Sigma lenses have had issues with autofocus when adapted to an RF system.

My question is if this has been fixed in recent times via firmware updates either to the bodies or the lenses? I’ve tried to research online but can’t find a definitive answer. Thanks!
