Wanted to write this to try help any flappers out there. For the first couple days I was reading stuff online and assuming the worst. Assuming I had the dreaded dry socket. The best advice the OP said 'if you think you have dry socket, you dont'. Similar advice to if you've ever broken a bone; you'll know its happened.

Before the op: Read up on foods/drinks to have or avoid so you can do a bit of meal prep before hand. Something I didnt do but wish I had! I mainly rotated between Eggs, Jacket Potato, soft pasta, avocado, low sugar protein shakes, lots of water.

If you are a bit of a flapper then absolutely do not read up on what could go wrong! Its all horror stories but if you are patient and listen to what your dentist says you'll be fine.

Day 1: Procedure was surprisingly quick. In at 0830 and out and 0915.

Face was sore for the rest of the day and you will be in discomfort but for me it was a 7/10 on a pain scale.

Alternated between 200mg of Ibuprofen and Paracetamol.

Flossed my teeth carefully and brushed with a miniscule amount of toothpaste but far away from the extraction site.

Day 2: Rested all day. Aching all day. The day I found the most uncomfortable as the meds had varying degrees of pain relief. I started with the salt water rinses after every meal as a minimum. I probably overdid it though as I was doing it 5-8 times a day until day 5.

Other side effects will probably be a yellow ish tongue and bad breath as you cant really clean the extraction site. Theres also the addition of the salt rinses drying your mouth.

Day 3: discomfort and aching dropped off massively to no more than a 3/10.

Day 4: Minor ache on and off all day but no show stopper. In the evening the pain was about a 5/10 before bed but I think It was me brushing my teeth that triggered it.

I returned to the gym on this day aswell but just put in about 50% effort of what I usually do. As per the Dr's orders.

Day 5-6: For the most part the pain had gone. Every now and then i'd get a reminder but it was very minor. Started to reintroduce grounded meats, coffee and a fizzy drink as I was bored of just drinking water. Tongue /breath returned to normal.

Gum line incision had 'closed up' by the end of day 6.

Day 6 really was like my mouth had returned to normal. Didnt feel any pay in the afternoon/evening of day 6.
Day 7: Returned to dentist for a check up. Really good recovery and clean extraction site (perhaps my excessive salt rinses worked).

I expected a lot worse pain based on everything I read online and heard from friends. I'd describe it as more inconvenient and uncomfortable but you get used to it quickly.

Lastly, use it as an opportunity! By this I mean if your diet has been horrendous as of late, use it as a chance for a reset.

Really struggling with Latios! Any tips? I just dont seem to do much damage compared to when I come up against it!
My Fiancé's posture is really bad and they frequently complain of back pain which i am 99% sure is attributed to bad posture. She will go to her chiropractor but the problem persists which to me suggests its something she can fix. The issue is she gets super defensive over it the moment I've brought it up in the past. I obviously dont want to upset her but this is causing her more and more pain.
What are some subtle ways/tips/tricks I can get across my thoughts without upsetting her? Has anyone experienced similar? Grateful for any advice and i'll be looking at the Relationship subreddits too!
I've just finished S1/S2 ahead of S3 and overall there is so much to like about it. I really enjoyed it and I think some of the acting in it is up there with GoT. Unless i'm missing anything obvious, can someone explain to me whats wrong with it?
