So... where does last night leave us heading into finals?

Honestly - still bitterly disappointed and leaves me to believe we are just making up the numbers at this point.

Yes - a 3rd placed finish would have left us with a more favourable QF against Sydney at the SCG. But on current form, I can't see us beating them in a few weeks. Losing to Fremantle in a QF likely places us in a SF against either Melbourne or Collingwood - both teams we've struggled against big time this year.

In my opinion, we lack the 'killer instinct' required to genuinely compete with the other Top 6 teams. No one other than Newcombe, Impey and maybe Ward (at times) decided to put their hand up in the face of adversity last night. Having that many passengers in such a hot contest won't win you a final, let alone a premiership.

Dare I say, are we looking at a straight sets exit? Or is there hope and am I overreacting?

EBA - how can we help?

Just wondering what medical students can do to show their solidarity with doctors, with the current lack of progress in EBA negotiations and likely industrial action ahead in Victoria?

I've personally joined the AMA under the 'student' membership option, but I'm not sure what else to do. This is something I'm already quite passionate about, as ultimately this is a future workforce I'll be entering (I graduate at the end of next year).

I understand that we might not have the same voting rights compared to salaried doctors, but if this is truly a numbers game - then I know many of us want to help in any way we can.

Will this dog ever find a floor?

It seems as though every bit of negative press (e.g. US military flu vaccine policy changes) has an automatic flow on effect to an already over-exaggerated negative sentiment. Don't Ig products (the Behrig arm) make up >70% of group revenue? Is there something I'm missing?

Can't sell the bloody thing; every attempt to dollar cost average feels demoralising. Do we all just sit here and watch the opportunity cost of alternative investments pass us by, as this takes the next 5-10 years to slowly turn back around?

... if that even ever happens?
