Hi,

I’m an incoming 2026 intern who was meant to start in a vascular surgery rotation. Today, admin told me that the post was advertised incorrectly and that the vascular rotation should actually have been an anaesthetics rotation.

What are people’s opinions on this?

I’m still unsure what I want to go into next year (BST vs CST), but I was keen to do the busy vascular rotation during the 2026 training year. Is anaesthetics generally much quieter? Has anyone done an anaesthetics intern rotation and found it beneficial?
