IIT Mechanical -> PSU/Core Job: What does the next 20 years actually look ?
Mech has good stablity, secure job, work life balance...this is what i have heard but i want to know for a person who wants to grow faster (i m not saying ki grow faster wale scam type...i m asking with own potential, people want to grow faster)is this okay for them?
For example in tech...people can learn new skills train them.and switch jobs and get better salary than their previous....but in mech how can even people learn new things without the resources.
I want to know from mech engineers doing jobs..how does salary grow? Is it mostly fixed or can good performers grow much faster? What kind of roles or companies do experienced mechanical engineers usually move into? Is there a point where salary growth becomes very slow?
Also, if your goal is to maximize your career, what skills would you focus on after joining?
Looking back, would you still choose this path?
And for someone who finds this too technical studying in btech and not find much interest. Should they choose it...or will they be stuck as they wont have interest in growing.
