I have cleared CM1,CS1,CB1-2 from IAI looking actively for an internship opportunity. Please help me out ..!!
I graduated in Economics last year, will start my MBA this year. Both Tier-1 colleges. But I feel as a fresher my profile is almost completely empty for me to truly stand out for the most coveted roles on campus. I would thus need to build my profile in different ways.
I am considering the Actuary route. Are there people starting during/after their MBA? Considering I will be 23 when I sit for my first paper, does it even make sense to go down this path?

How was the experience of the proctored exam? Like I heard they give warning even if you move your eyes right or left? Proctoring is very strict?
I might potentially be starting an internship at Aditya birla Life as a pricing intern in Mumbai. I have to relocate for the same. I was wondering about the experience and if i would be able to manage my expenses ( like the rent and basic food travel expenses since I dont eat out much and don't like to party and all). Any tips or guidance would be great.
I plan on giving CM1 as my first exam next April and i want to start by learning whatever excel tools are required. I have no prior knowledge of excel and would appreciate any and all advice, thank you!
I have found 2 courses that seem promising, please let me know if these are any good or i would be better off choosing a different one.

Choosing a coaching institute for papers like CM1, CS1, or the CB series is a massive investment of time and money, and past-year papers alone don't always cut it.
If you've taken classes from any major Indian prep providers or global platforms (like ActEd, Future Track, Inflection Point, The Actuarial Guy, Actuators, Sankhiki, etc.), drop a quick review below:

Does it worth. How many papers should we clear to get job? Also how much time will it take to clear all the papers? Does good coaching available in India? How's the life after clearing all the papers?
hi guys, will be sitting for cs-1 (ifoa) in sept, but i havent started studying yet- i’m still figuring out my options. was wondering if purchasing, the actuarial guy’s course be enough or will i have to buy CMP and any other additional material? + any reviews will be helpful.
Hi, my long term goal is to pursue IAI and IFoA and eventually work in actuary(preferably abroad). We know actuary exams are very difficult and require a lot of time and money. I can pick on things easily. I am already comfortable with python, sql, excel (learning macros and VBA). I still need to learn R. It's just, is it worth it? As in, considering the current job market, even if I clear the exams, will I be able to find a job in actuary at all? I do have work experience but it's not relevant to the actuary. This is more of a career transition for me. So I am just wondering. I know we can never certainly know what can happen in the future but I just wanna assess my chances. And I do enjoy maths & statistics, so i do think I'll clear the papers if not in first attempts at least in second attempt. But i don't wanna put all the effort for nothing. It's just with all this AI & bad job market. I am not understanding if i should go ahead with pursuing actuary.
Hi
I finished my BSc in Physics and MSc in Data Science. (Picked DS becoz i wanted a faster well paying job)
I am currently working as an AI/ML Engineer at a startup with 14LPA package for 1 year and this is my first company.
I attended the entrance exam for Actuarial Science after my BSc, but didnt go on further.
Recently, I was considering if I should explore and try attending these exams for
Add to my CV
Know more about finance
Slight speculation that engineering could go down in sometime(at least 10yrs) in future
I love maths and I am good at it.
Well paying job
Should be fun (as in a flexible and friendly work environment)
I have these questions before I lock in on my options.
Is it worth going down this path?
Should I consider other options? What are they?
I went through other conversations and people in this field aren't particularly happy about their choices.
I want to have better inputs before I start my journey.
