Finished my first and last day of training as a server at chilis…
I don’t know if anyone else has had this experience but i’m floored. I got hired and did my online orientation and was sooo excited to start serving again. For reference, I have 2+ years of serving experience and have worked at like 5 restaurants including corporate ones. I have never experienced this kind of environment ever. The servers are cut throat. The score system is insane to me. I was told that if you were near the bottom, you would be openly called out, are at risk of being fired, get shitty sections and less hours. also 5% tip out of sales when servers there aren’t averaging more than $100 a night. Some girls are literally coming home with $30 after tip out. Also you’re expected to do work off the clock ( training modules ). Not to mention the management screamed at me for eating a TM meal on the clock after my trainee told me to put it in. Has anyone had this experience? i’ve never not pulled through training and at least made it a few months.
