Server Dress code….
I have an interview coming up, and it’s for the server position I have a mullet and always wear a hat is that allowed as a server?

So yesterday was my first non training shift and when I was leaving one of the food runners that relieved me asked if I finished my cut work and I responded with “I don’t even know what that is” this is my first time working in a restaurant so I was wondering is it possible I’ll get in some kind of trouble even though I don’t know what my cut work even is??
Thinking of the best to way to go about this. I been at chilis for about 2 months I got hired as a server. My server scores are decent, but management is making me uncomfortable. I never knew there was an issue because nobody spoke to me directly but several of my coworkers have come up to me and told me that a manager came up to them making conversation and brought me up calling me “strong faced” , telling people I think I’m too cute to work and making fun of my walk saying I think I’m a princess . Mind you I come to work and mind my business and don’t bother nobody. So for her to make those comments about me is weird for a manager at that.
She also makes the schedule, so she’s been taking me off serving shifts and putting me as food runner as well as cutting my hours to 16 a week saying I make too many mistakes (I don’t) there are people who make way more mistakes. My thing is if there is an issue about me and my work performance why not address me directly instead of gossiping to other workers. It seems to me everything is based off favoritism. I went to the gm but it doesn’t seem like she’s taking it seriously so how should I go about it from here ?
How do I read this my first 2 week check
I don’t know if anyone else has had this experience but i’m floored. I got hired and did my online orientation and was sooo excited to start serving again. For reference, I have 2+ years of serving experience and have worked at like 5 restaurants including corporate ones. I have never experienced this kind of environment ever. The servers are cut throat. The score system is insane to me. I was told that if you were near the bottom, you would be openly called out, are at risk of being fired, get shitty sections and less hours. also 5% tip out of sales when servers there aren’t averaging more than $100 a night. Some girls are literally coming home with $30 after tip out. Also you’re expected to do work off the clock ( training modules ). Not to mention the management screamed at me for eating a TM meal on the clock after my trainee told me to put it in. Has anyone had this experience? i’ve never not pulled through training and at least made it a few months.
Unlike the other brands I love 😔
I was wondering if anyone has been through this before. I never got paid for days of work. Never got a check in the mail and I’ve asked management about it. All management is different now and they gave me a number to call that doesn’t work. Anyone know who to contact?
i just started at chili’s about 2 weeks ago and set up my pay card in brinker as well as my direct deposit.
i set up my direct deposit for my regular bank, and set up my pay card as tips only (i clicked that option).
i worked my first shift and have not gotten my money on the card. i asked my managers and they said i didn’t get any charge tips then when i had them look again they saw that i did.
do i need to change my direct deposit to my US bank account? everything else is set up on my end and i haven’t really gotten any help from my store
I’m in Togo, had a manager tonight say that the missing item metric is not being used anymore? She was in a pissy mood when she said it, but didn’t say anything more than that. For almost 3 years the only metric posted for us has been “missing items”. We are to stay 8% and under. Has anyone else been told this? Or any managers know if this is coming? It was my understanding that this is a corporate, not an individual store decision. I saw recently that FOH metrics were adjusted
I had a friend confide in me that they walked out on their tab because they thought they had the money but didn’t. What does Chillis usually do about things like this?

Hey y’all, with gas prices going up, I’m looking to replace my job delivering for Domino’s with something else. I applied at Chili’s and already got an interview scheduled. Does anyone here have any advice for the position or the interview?
I have experience running food at Culver’s, but not at a sit-down restaurant like Chili’s. Any advice is appreciated!
Went to Chili’s with a friend last month and ordered the “3 for Me” deal. I noticed you could add the $6 margarita of the month, so I added one.
About 10 minutes later I see a large pink margarita getting delivered a few tables away. I couldn’t fully hear the interaction between the drink server and the customer. The only thing I could clearly make out was the customer enthusiastically saying, “Sure, I’ll take it!” so I didn’t think much of it at the time.
A little later my salad comes out. Then about 10 minutes after that my burger comes out, and I ask the waiter about the status of my margarita because by that point I still hadn’t received it.
The waiter goes to ask the drink runner, who I guess tells him he delivered it to the wrong table. The waiter then returns, confirms that it was misdelivered and asks if I would still like another margarita, and I say, “Yes, I would still like the margarita I ordered.”
So now I’m halfway through my burger while watching another guy across the restaurant happily drinking the margarita that was supposed to come to my table. Eventually they make me another one.
Then the check comes.
They charged me for TWO margaritas.
I explained that I only ordered one margarita, and I wasn’t paying for the one that got delivered to and consumed by somebody else. The waiter pushed back saying I ordered two because apparently the drink runner told him I “refused” the first margarita.
Thankfully my friend backed me up and told the waiter that the drink server never brought the first margarita to our table in the first place and that we nor I ever refused it.
They fixed the bill and went to charge the guy who accepted and drank the mystery margarita he never ordered and he reluctantly paid it.
Now I’m curious:
AITA for standing my ground over a $6 margarita?
I feel like if a restaurant delivers my order to another table and that person drinks it, I’m not financially responsible for funding the wandering margarita distribution system.
I got hired last week and I got sent a form to complete, which was just another application, although I was a few days late in completing it.
But now it’s been a week since I completed it and I still haven’t gotten any updates, does it usually take this long to go to the next step?
Like aren’t I’m supposed to do the tax form or whatever, is it normal for the process to take this long?
I’m having my birthday dinner at chilis and normally I only take like 3 people but with but this time it’s a party of 19, would they make a reservation for me? Or would I jsut have to call ahead of time to let them know, and it will be on separate bills but I’ll let the waiter or waiters know before hand.
I’m going on a Tuesday night around 7:30
Hi! I recently applied to Chili's but haven't heard anything back. I would love to work there so I'm wondering if I should do more? Would it make sense to go in and drop an actual resume? Or do I just wait and see if they might reach out? Thank you!
So is it normal to have to train someone new while being new yourself?? I’ve only been working as a host for not even 2 weeks and I’m being forced to train someone new. I had to yesterday and then again on Monday (it’s the same person) and I don’t even know how to train them because I’m still learning how to do everything and still have to ask questions myself. I’m about to call my boss and get this figured out but I figured I would ask more experienced people is this is normal or not.
