Hi, i was wondering if anyone has any underrated recommendations of ukrainian cossack fiction books that have a similar philosophical depth to “musashi”(or the manga based on it), that are not the obvious picks like “чорна рада».

Ive made a list of books that could be interesting potentially but haven’t read any of them yet, so if anyone did read them it would be great to hear your thoughts.

I want something that isn’t an idealized heroic nationalist depiction, but something beyond that.

Here’s the list that i mentioned:
Cossack literature list:
Василь шевчук Око прірви, Мор
Григорій бабенко Шляхом бурхливим
Юрій мушкетник, на брата брат, Яса,
Роман іванчук Мальви, Орда

I am really interested in Ruina period in particular
