My first post was day 21 - now it’s day 33

Long post coming at you…

Here are my not so little anymore new friends of our family. When I purchased the seeds for these pots I bought from 3 places. One of them advertised that they were heirloom non hybrid Hungarian Blues. The other two places said they were just Hungarian Blues. Thought it was interesting how they look different.

These photos were taken 3 days after their first bottom water and 6-4-4 Grow Big 2 teaspoons per 1 gallon distilled water.

My light is a 430w ion board Samsung programmed with a raspberry Pi to max 5 but get brighter slowly on the east side of the tent and then move across board as the 18/6 day goes by. They follow the light with their leaves.

I’ve got 2 - 6” fans kitty corner from each other one higher than the other. They raise and lower their fan speed to act like outdoor wind gusts. They randomly vary the degree that they turn as well. I tested the 48x48 grow area with an Ai camera and incense so I could make sure I didn’t have any dead spots. Did the same with my Vivosun 5-1 ph/elec/temp tester.

The soil I went with 1.5” of organic perlite then 6” of fox farm ocean forest. Then a 50/50 mix of ocean forest and seed start. Then a 1/4 of straight seed start. It’s a bit hot. But they seem to be groov’n on it.

And the rest is a A/C - Heater and a hot and cold humidifier. With a six inch inline with charcoal for ventilation.

Needless to say. Most of you (like Russians in space used a pencil) and placed some seeds in the ground outside. But where’s the fun in that?

The pots are numbered as such if anyone has questions.

PLANTS!!

I had no idea. After so many years of listening to my wife and my mom talk incessantly about their plants. I decided to start an indoor garden. I am so hooked on these new little friends of mine.

Learning from others, books, studying their growth. I know this sounds dumb. But these little fellas are alive. I worry about them. Talk to them. Tell them how great they are doing. lol. I’m plant crazy! 🤪

What an amazing creation these little aliens are. Can’t wait to see what they do next.

Hungarian Blue’s from a seed farm in Tasmania - that’s what the ad said anyways

My little fuzz-ball’s are certainly on their way. Day 25

Found an ad online after reading a Tasmanian growing guide for bread seed poppies. Not sure how much that part was true. But they sure are growing fast. I will keep posting updates and we will get to watch these beauties bloom.

I do need to prune a little more. Some of the ones I need to prune the little plants are so intertwined I’m afraid I’ll kill the ones that are left. I’ll be more careful next time. I just want to make sure I don’t prune down to one a pot and end up with 5 mature flowers.

Appreciate any input on temp and humidity and kpa for this stage and the next.

I made a beginner-friendly Wheel strategy calculator while learning the strategy

I built a simple spreadsheet to help newer traders understand the Wheel strategy with cash-secured puts and covered calls.

The goal was to make the math easier to see: premium collected, breakeven, cash required, assignment outcome, covered call exit price, and payoff scenarios.

The part that made the Wheel click for me was time decay. Buying options always made me feel like I was racing the clock. Selling options changes that, but only if you understand the obligation and risk.

I’m not posting this as financial advice or a trade recommendation. I mostly wanted to share the learning tool idea and get feedback from people who understand the strategy better than I do.

What would you add to a beginner Wheel calculator?

My first grow

Everybody is having fun showing off their flowers. I never thought I would get into growing plants the way I have. I usually overdo whatever I focus on. But here are some pics of my little fuzzy guys. Today’s photos have my finger pointing to them. These were planted on the 19th of March.

Wow great photo of my finger
