My 12.5 year old golden has developed old man ailments. In the past month or so, he has started barking or boofing randomly throughout the day. It is a single bark (or low key boof) every five to ten minutes. I think it may be related to hearing or eyesight (both aren’t what they used to be). However, I feel like I should do something for him but I don’t know what. He doesn’t seem stressed, but obviously, he can’t tell me for sure. I will ask the vet, but before I put him through a bunch of random tests, I am wondering if any of you have encountered this.

I swear he puts on his cute face whenever he steals something.

We live in the Midwest (US) and it’s like they are trying to win a contest. I am getting the heebie jeebies daily.

This tool has come in super handy for anyone else dealing with this. Photo of the tick magnet included as well. He’s treated for ticks, but we’ve still pulled a few off of him. He is clearly unbothered by this.
