Amazing Trade

Had Leaf on my wishlist and someone offered her up as a trade. I thought shit, I don’t think I’ve got anything worth it but they have the Rainbow Magnezone on their wishlist so I chance it. Last time someone offered me a Pokemon Center Lady and I tried to go for something wishlisted, think it was a Charizard but they declined, fair enough, PCL is a big card tbf.

Couldn’t believe it but they accepted! I always chance these and never usually get anything from it because I don’t have spares of any big cards but super pleased with this, I’m hoping they are too! 🤞

First sourdough loaf after traumatic c-section

Started making sourdough part way through my pregnancy to keep me occupied and enjoyed it thoroughly. Had an emergency section and a very complicated recovery, but I’m 4 months out from that now and starting to feel normal again!

Restarted my starter and here is my first loaf back. Just had the best cheese and chilli jam sandwich 🤤 Really proud of it!

Apparently I need to share the process. I did 500g Allison’s strong white bread flour, 350g water, 10g salt and 100g starter. 3 sets of stretch and folds (was meant to be 4 but baby likes to sleep on me). Let sit in a bowl on the counter for 5 hours. Stretched and shaped the dough, then cold proofed in the fridge for 12 hours. Baked in a preheated dutch oven at 250C for 25 minutes (but got out to score at 7 mins), then reduced temp to 220 for another 15 mins uncovered.

Daytime naps

FTM to 10 week old baby. He went through a pretty bad sleep phase a couple of weeks ago and the only time he would fall asleep during the day was when I was burping him on my shoulder. Since then we got into a habit of him sleeping lying against my chest, face pointing in so I can see he’s breathing. At the time I figured that’s the same position people use when baby wearing so thought it was safe as long as I make sure his airways are clear and he can breathe okay. We don’t do it for every nap now, mostly he sleeps on his back on me and in the night he’s in his next to me cot.

Anyway I saw on the lullaby trust and NHS that he shouldn’t be front sleeping until he can roll. It is technically on his front so I’m thinking I should stop now that his sleep has improved? Wondered what everyone else thought bc the people around me think it’s fine but I’m not sure now.
