New Event: Heroes for Hire

Event Details

Background - ​The Hellbane Gang is bringing together various crime factions in order to expand its territory, and have been seen robbing banks, looting shops, and mugging citizens! Luke Cage and his band of Heroes For Hire refuse to watch their city be overrun by these thugs, and have gathered to dispense some justice, clean up the streets, and keep the people safe.

Roster - The following Characters are our Heroes For Hire:

• Luke Cage
• Iron Fist
• She-Hulk
• Human Torch
• Black Cat

Daily Login Gift - ​Log in each day for a box with the following items:

• 10 Gang Member Dog Tags
• 5 Random Currency (Either Eternity Splinters, Cube Shards, Hero Commendations or Protector Commendations)

Brand New Achievement Chain - ​Play as the Heroes For Hire to unlock an exclusive Title!

Gang Member Dog Tags - Defeat the following enemies anywhere in the world to gather this new currency which is spendable at the Special Event Vendor in Avengers Tower for new Heroes For Hire themed rewards.

• Maggia
• Mercenaries

Tournament (4 hour reset, duration 1 week) - The Heroes For Hire are back in action and ready to beat down any punks and gangsters causing trouble.

Earn points by performing any of the following actions in the game world while playing as Luke Cage, Iron Fist, She-Hulk, Human Torch or Black Cat:

• 1 point per Gang Member defeat
• 1 point per Maggia Member defeat
• 1 point per Mercenary defeat
• 1 point per Civilian Rescued in Midtown, Industry City or Hightown Patrols
• 3 points per Legendary Mission completed
• 5 points per Gang Member Dog Tag looted
• 15 points per Daily Shared Quest completed

From Agent Kheldarn: This announcement was posted in the discord almost 2 hours ago. Unfortunately, I was at work, so I didn't see it until I got home. My apologies for the delay.

Merge time:

Either around Friday, May 15, 2026 3:00 PM Eastern

or Friday, May 15, 2026 6:00 PM Eastern

depending on MonEll's availability.

There will be warnings in game prior to servers shutting down.

Estimated time 2-3 hours for everything to be fully operational.

A small heads up. We now have the functionality to merge our databases.

The plan is the following:

1. Start DR Leaderboards for Brood until next Thursday.
2. Receive payouts for Leaderboards next Thursday.
3. Next Friday, May 15th, take down both servers.
4. Merge 2hiti database into Tahiti Prime.

I will try to minimize the downtime for the merged server which will be Tahiti Prime.

I am also aiming to update our backend web server from Apache to Nginx at the same time, which will increase the downtime.

Things to note:

• Friend lists and ignore lists from 2hiti will be emptied.
• Player names in 2hiti will change if and only if there is a similar player name in 1hiti. the 2hiti account will be renamed to PlayerName#2 or something similar. I was informed that the previous is not true. ALL players from 2Hiti will have #2 in their names.
• Guild Names from 2hiti will follow similar rename schemes. See above.
• There will be some small code changes related to login. Specifically you will now need to use the proper mhtahiti email, for the few that didn’t do that. otherwise you will receive “invalid username/password”.
• For any account porting over from 2hiti the goal is to keep your launch parameter the same, so you don’t have to change things again. It’s doable, I will be researching how to do that during the next week.
• Bifrost will receive an update to the previous configuration with only 1 server, once we merge.
• Account Portal will stay locked to the first server until after the merge.
