Coaxial Juney Booster - Hybrid Driveshaft Thruster Upgrade: EXPERIMENTAL
This particular installation represents the big thing I’ve wanted to get done forever, it seems - but kept putting it off and putting it off because I knew it would be a terrible slog. And a slog, it was. But I now know for sure the basic concept is valid.
What I figured out from the Susuyal Lift Driveshaft, is that the “popping a wheelie” effect upon firing off the JATO, is due to the vector sum of the Juney thrust, and the Propeller thrust hard speed limit. So it occurred to me to wonder - what if the Juney thrust was coaxial with the Propeller thrust? Which one would “win?”
This build represents an answer to that. A spring-mounted mini-Juney cart is inserted between both of the q-linked Shrine Motors, as well as a suitable massive target; both rotate with the same Driveshaft input as powers the Propellers. The whole array in this video is mounted upon a Depths Elevator, which helps with its overall stability as I’m interested in controlling the total number of variables.
Beyond just the speed limit, the pairing of the “gyroscopic” stability from dual Propellers, coupled with the Juney’s own gyroscoping axial thrust as it presses against a congruently rotating target, results in a very interesting flying experience - about which I still know very little.
Many thanks to all the Hyrule Engineers whose efforts and QR codes opened so many doors. Thank you for your sustained attention into these matters!
