Looking for recommendation/suggestions

My family is taking a 2 week trip to Australia in February and we would love to partake of the local food and culture while remaining completely plant-based and as chemical-free as possible. Any recommendations on good places to eat/shop? My husband also wants to take my daughter to a Cafe for coffee/breakfast every morning, so tell me the best ones to hit! We are staying in Adelaide for several days and then traveling to the Coober Pedy and Silverton areas.

Looking for books for 15+ hour plane ride

We are currently planning a trip to Australia for February. I need book recs for the plane ride (and the beach). I was hoping for something with an Australian flair/feel. We are taking this trip because my husband has been OBSESSED with Mad Max since he was 5 and we are going to see the Mad Max museum and some other spots related to the movies. So anything in that realm would be great too, but honestly just anything to keep me entertained for a long plane trip is great. Here are some that I have read enjoyed recently:
The Expanse
Dungeon Crawler Carl
1984
The Parable of the Sower/Parable
Of Talents
Murderbot
Liliths Brood
Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy
Peter F Hamiltons Commonwealth series
Project Hail Mary/The Martian/Artemis
Good Omens
Ministry for the Future
The Measure

Here are a few I was not able to get into and gave up on:
Red Rising
Discworld
Color of Magic
John Dies at the End

Book for 11-13 yr old girl

My daughter is looking for some new books to read and it seems like there might a a huge jump from “kid” books to YA with themes that are a little too mature right now. She isn’t too sure what she is looking for but says something with a plot twist. I’m an avid reader and have been since I was her age but I took off reading Harry Potter/Hunger Games which she’s not overly interested in. She has consumed pretty all of the “Who Was” books and the “I survived” books as well which she’s really liked. She wanted to start reading “The Selection” series but the themes are just a little too mature right now for her. She really enjoyed “Island of the Blue Dolphins” that they read in school this year. I’m just at a loss to come up with good ideas. I’m very into sci-if but she doesn’t seem interested in that but maybe if it’s really good for this age group!

Edit: Thank you all so much!! I’m going to let her read through these suggestions and pick a few to try out! This is why I love Reddit!!
