‘70s Game Show Christmas
Hi all,
I have a seedling for an idea for a Christmas party. I (and many of my friends) like party games (more trivia, Pictionary, taboo types). I was thinking to do a 70’s vibe and incorporate some of the popular TV game shows of that time.
We’d have about 20 people and I’m thinking we’d have 2 big teams and run 3-4 different game segments where teams would send up different members to play each (this way no pressure for those who aren’t as in to participating). We found this retro channel that plays old game shows - password, original family feud, name that tune, etc. that will serve as my inspiration. My husband could serve as host and ham it up a bit.
I could do some 70’s style snacks - fondue, pigs in blanket, pineapple skewers. I could make a retro logo sign for the “game show”. And then I’m thinking after the games, we’d have another area with a disco ball and a wall of tinsel strips and we can dance to disco hits.
This is early stages so if you have any ideas for the games, logistics, decor, food, etc. I’d love to hear them!
