Forgetting Maysilee by ja.ywalls

Crazy that the face that after Snow bombed twelve, Haymitch didn't even have Merrilee's face to remember...

And then he had to get sober for the rebellion and to live in thirteen, insanity

Haymitch being the joint tallest tribute in the Quarter Quell is incredible lol

Chart from a SOTR set, he's taller than both Panache and Silka. He's taller than Snow too, I wonder how the milk scene would look like now...

Hunger Games participants don't even ask for sponsors anymore, they just look at you like this

Which district 12 tribute do you think was the deadliest?

Kill count wise it's Katniss with the highest, 5 career kills in two games, then >!Haymitch and Maysilee are tied at three career kills each in one game!< then Peeta with one career merced in two games.

Lucy Gray has two indirect kills using poison, three if you count Reaper. Only district twelve tribute whose kill count isn't exclusively careers.

So it should be Katniss, but most of those kills were reflexive and in self defense. Haymitch and Maysilee also have the deadliness factor, Haymitch because he survived the three on one gangup and Maysilee because she literally >!hunted careers down!<

Peeta killed Brutus.

So who do you guys think was the deadliest and inspired the most fear?

This combined with the disgusting thing she said, made her my most despised character

What sort of Victor do you guys think she'd be like?

Saw this on Tumblr, the fact they're sitting on Katniss flowers while having this conversation...

>!Suzanne has had Katniss flowers appear twice in the two prequels, and in Ballad it was also regarding their resilience!< so thematic that the worst Victor in history, who stopped the games was "surrounding" when they had this conversation.

I was going through some theories on this subreddit, and this one intrigued me, because it made me think about some other connections regarding the best character in SOTR and her similarities with Effie Trinket.

The Donner Party was an infamous expedition that resulted in quite a bit of cannibalism for the eponymous American pioneers. Suzanne Collins often uses names as nominative foreshadowing for character's fate/backstory (Lenore Dove is named after a Poe poem where a girl named Lenore dies young and tragically for example ).

There is a prevailing fan theory among the community that Trinkets were cannibals during the dark days and that is what disgraced them.

So I was thinking that maybe the Donner's also did a bit of cannibalism during the dark days but were caught unlike the Trinkets, and exiled to Twelve.

What do you guys think?
