Hey everyone, I’m pretty confused and wondering if anyone else has run into this.

I'm 100% sure because my Inventory was full at the time, and I trashed something less important in my bag just to make room for it. Plus, the game always marks any new species you find as "NEW".

After going home, I accidentally sold my Sword, so I reloaded my save from before going to bed. But when I reloaded, the Pufferfish was nowhere to be found. It wasn't in my inventory, Chests, or Shipping Bin. I even checked my Journal, and the Pufferfish wasn't unlocked under Caught Fish either. I even checked the next day's save, the one where I accidentally sold my sword, and it was still locked. I'm completely baffled. Maybe I really did accidentally lose it, but I believe that as long as you obtain it, whether by actually fishing or other means, the Journal should still show it as unlocked.

Did I completely hallucinate getting it, or is this a known inventory bug after reloading?

Hey guys, so I’ve been grinding Coral Island for a bit, and Mark has been my absolute go-to romance choice from day one. Rafael, Scott, Theo, and Surya are also on my radar (still waiting to see more of the merfolk to decide on them). Scott was a strong contender, but I was 100% team Mark, until his 6-heart event happened.

I need a reality check here. Did I misinterpret it, or is it actually as bad as it sounds? >!From what I gathered, his past recklessness and attitude basically pressured someone into a dangerous situation where they ended up dying? I assume he just wanted to scare them off because he thought they didn't have what it takes to survive out there, and he didn't think anything bad would actually happen... but still.!<

Honestly, learning about his past kinda ruined his vibe for me. How do you guys feel about it?

Also, can we talk about how after I killed 30 monsters to join the Band of Smiles, I found out he bet Kira I’d fail? Like, are you serious, bro?!

P.S. Please NO SPOILERS on what it’s like to date/marry Mark, and please don’t tell me if the other guys are better or what Scott’s route is like. I know everyone has different opinions, but I don't want to go in with preconceived notions!

I basically became a lurker around the middle of Year 2. I’m not as active in the community anymore. but I still follow the series, mainly because of Kei, who is literally my favorite fictional character of all time.

Up until recently, even right around when they broke up, whenever I heard updates about the light novel, it was rarely about her. It was always about Ayanokoji and some other girl. To be honest, it kind of broke my heart at first because I used to ship them so hard. I genuinely believed that no one but Kei could be endgame for Ayanokoji.

However, that mindset started shifting back in mid-Year 2 when things didn’t go the way I expected. Kinugasa basically sidelined her character. Unlike her sharp wit in Year 1, she was reduced to just being "the protagonist's girlfriend." Her character development completely stalled. Because she used to be in a league of her own in popularity, the author had to sideline her just to keep the waifu wars going. That was the moment I realized, okay, the author doesn’t care about this character as much as I do.

The only thing I’m grateful for is that Kinugasa didn't leave Kei moping around forever. Instead, she bounced back faster than anyone. Moving into Year 3, she's started building a tight bond with Horikita, and I am genuinely so happy for her. Even up to the latest volume, even though she doesn’t get a ton of screen time, she is easily one of the most stable characters compared to everyone else who’s losing their minds over the drama.

Suddenly, it just hit me: I don't really care if she gets back with Ayanokoji anymore. Now, I don't feel a thing when I see fanart of Ayanokoji with other girls, or even during his latest moments with Hiyori. To be fair, as long as she keeps this mindset, she might actually become Horikita’s right-hand woman. If she can just graduate from Class A, so many doors will open for her. She's already way ahead of the starting line compared to most people in life. She doesn’t need to be tied down by high school relationship drama forever. Just like my own life, there are so many opportunities waiting for her, and that's why I'm truly happy for her right now.

As long as Kinugasa doesn't retcon his own writing and still has a shred of decency left, I genuinely hope Kei stays safe and sound until the end and graduates from Class A.

Anyway, I just suddenly felt the urge to make this post, since I rarely open up like this about my feelings for a character or the plot. Another reason is that a lot of the Kei fan accounts I follow, and even this sub are still flooded with Kiyokei fanart. I know a lot of people are still holding onto that sliver of hope that Kei will be the endgame girl. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that, because I used to be exactly where they are. I just wanted to share a different perspective. Feel free to share your thoughts!
