As you can see, I was on a mission to get a boyfriend, haha! I was also super focused on befriending Eva. Chaem somehow ended up as my 3rd highest female friend. I think she’s pretty cool, but I never actively tried to build our friendship. Guess we just vibe anyway!
I love the game! But dang, these prices are killing me! I understand the really expensive things like house upgrades, major farm renovations, and whole buildings that you need to purchase.
But 5k for a rug?? 10k+ for a wardrobe? Over 3k for a jellyfish looking light??? That's only in the Mermaid Style theme.
Looking at other themes, it costs 1.3k for a TV in the East Asian Style theme, but it costs 7k+ for a Stone Age Club in the Stone Age theme? A useless, only decorative item? Why?!? The prices don't make sense!
I want to have fun with decorating if it wasn't so expensive!!!
Context: I just married Semeru, and I wanted to decorate his room with ocean themed furniture to make him feel at home, but it's apparently going to cost me an arm and a fin!
Hey everyone, I’m pretty confused and wondering if anyone else has run into this.
I'm 100% sure because my Inventory was full at the time, and I trashed something less important in my bag just to make room for it. Plus, the game always marks any new species you find as "NEW".
After going home, I accidentally sold my Sword, so I reloaded my save from before going to bed. But when I reloaded, the Pufferfish was nowhere to be found. It wasn't in my inventory, Chests, or Shipping Bin. I even checked my Journal, and the Pufferfish wasn't unlocked under Caught Fish either. I even checked the next day's save, the one where I accidentally sold my sword, and it was still locked. I'm completely baffled. Maybe I really did accidentally lose it, but I believe that as long as you obtain it, whether by actually fishing or other means, the Journal should still show it as unlocked.
Did I completely hallucinate getting it, or is this a known inventory bug after reloading?
I absolutely love the hangout system in this game! A lot of times relationships in games like this can feel kinda perfunctory, but seeing the characters talking and laughing together does a surprising amount to flesh out the growing bond. And the fact that NPCs will ask you to hang out makes them feel more active and shows that the relationship goes both ways.
Question for folks - is there any way to figure out everyone’s favorites just through the game? I am finishing year 2 and have really really enjoyed not looking up stuff during this play through. For a while, the game was giving me a lot of clues as to what people like with random conversation drops and the torn notes, but I feel like that is drying up.
Is there any way to do this or should I bite the bullet and look stuff up and be glad I made it this far?
Trying to decide who to choose to give the ring to. Waiting till I get everyone to 10 hearts and making a save before the choice, naturally. Probably won't come back and do another branch from that point, as I'm getting a bit burnt out, so I need to make it count. Those four are my shortlist for this primary run, but having trouble deciding.

So I wanted to decorate the bedroom part of my house like the second photo cause I’m gonna marry a mermaid and because I just think it’s super pretty, but I don’t know where to put my chest where I will still have access to everything in them, but they’re not like crowding my house house. I want my house fully decorated before I get married and have my babies.
I know Charles isn't the most popular bachelor and usually ranks pretty low on romance polls.
At first, I didn't think much of him and just triggered his heart events and hangouts out of curiosity. But the more I got to know him, the more I just felt for him and wanted to give him a big hug to heal his inner wounds 🥹
Once we started dating and reached the 10-heart hangout event, he honestly gave me butterflies with how much he compliments the player.
Personally, I don't think he's unattractive at all, he has that cute, sweet dork energy.

Hello everyone, thank you for your patience! I'm here today with the first part of the results for the unofficial Coral Island popularity contest 2026 (you can see the original post here)! You guys really blew it out of the water - we had a grand 849 participants this year and a once again close race for the top 3.
Like last year, I used a point system (a first place vote would get 3 points, second place gets 2, and third place gets 1). As most people have more than one favourite (or least favourite), this allows for more representative results. Here we have the winners of the "Favourite Dateable" category!
Agung missed out on the top 3 by 1 vote - which is crazy close. He actually got more votes than Rafael for first and second favourite, but Rafael squeaked by on third place votes to get third place for most favourite.
For "Least Favourite Dateables", it's no surprise Ben took first place again. Though as that one Charles-simp, I am glad to report he's fallen one place again (thanks Mark). On first place least favourite votes, Leah even beat Charles (6% vs 5%).
From taking most and least favourite rankings, we can create an Overall Ranking score!
Just going to let you know ahead of time that I'm going to be breaking this up into parts so it's easier for me to work with and easier for you guys to read. This part is PART 1 - Dateable Popularity Poll. I recently got back into Coral Island after a disappointing 1.0 launch, and I was having fun for a while, but...
As I have now hit rank A, I've found myself increasingly disappointed by the offerings that I've unlocked. So many new clothes become available at low ranks, but almost nothing unlocks at higher ones. I feel a little silly for thinking that we'd get a lot of nicer clothes as we get the town rank up.
I just feel like the clothes are so random, like they don't go together. It's hard to make outfits from them unless your character likes tshirts and jeans. Almost as though the devs just decided to make whatever clothes they felt like and weren't thinking, "this is cute but do we have anything to go with it?"
Now that we're nearing the end of the content updates, does anyone know if there are plans to add more clothes into the game? Ideally a bunch of new clothes but at minimum enough to make cohesive outfits from what's already in game...
Not trying to knock the devs, I think they made a beautiful game that's full of heart, and I know these things take time and money. Just trying to set my expectations, because to be honest the offerings were really disappointing, and it doesn't seem like there are mods to make up the difference. :\

Hii all! I just started playing Coral Island 2 days ago and I am hooked! I just have been trying to clear the ocean from trash, just got into the mines and have done 1 altar gift so far! I did finish the first parts of the Museum quests(Im at the pickstarter section)! I wanted to know how can I save my energy while still trying to get everything done?! Like I only cleared a small section of my farm 😬 HELP

For context I have married both Agung and Denali, (both mermaids for those that are new to the game,) and I thought I’d go for the princess of the royal kingdom first, as she’s literal royalty, but no! I just couldn’t see myself picking her over Agung or Denali, but now I’ve married them both, I’m asking myself is it worth the hassle of clearing the ocean again and going through all of those quests to marry Miranjani? I’m really stuck on this decision and I need help!!
With all the hate going around, I figure I'd share a little sticker design I shared on other platforms several days ago. Just a work in progress at the moment since I want to redo it digitally and actually make it a button or sticker for a Coral Island themed ita bag.
