15 hour progression before & after (31 with PMOS)

26 sessions from Jan 2026 to Aug 2026 (~15 hours worth of electrolysis) using Blend. Each pic is just over 2 weeks after a previous session (I did trim with tiny scissors in between!).

I have PMOS and I'm almost 2 years off Spironolactone. I started electrolysis in October in 2025 and have had weekly 20-40 minutes sessions minus holidays etc. I'd show my original pics but they're horrible quality - my chin hair used to go a lot higher up my chin!

My hormones are stable though my testosterone is naturally slightly higher than the reference range.

I think it's going well?! It's been very slow progress but honestly, there's no better feeling than the reduction of hair on my upper lip I could cry with happiness.

I was a serial plucker before for about 16 years and can finally afford to take care of this, and honestly spiro didn't even touch my facial hair lol.

I've already got my lovely electrolygist onto my upper arms and chest! I'm lucky to have hair thats sparse elsewhere and quite dark. My facial hair though is very coarse and a mix of dark gingers and blonde.

The left side of my chin is being very stubborn but I'm sure it'll get there in the end :) Anway, off to my appointment after my holiday!

Time between sessions?

Hello! Quick question - how close should sessions be? We're using blend if that helps!

For ref if it helps, I'm 31F with "lean" PCOS/PMOS with elevated testosterone but other bloodwork comes out in the 'normal' range. I was previously on Spironolactone for 7 years for hirsutism but stopped the medicine. I started electrolysis ~7 months after stopping on my upper lip and chin. I should note before electrolysis, I plucked basically daily for 10 years 😭

I'm about 8 months into treatment where we do one 30 minute session every Monday. Sometimes my electrologist will book me in for a 15 min session on a Thursday - she said it looks like my hairs are in two distinct cycles of growth because by Thursday I'll sometimes have new hairs poking through.

I think I'm seeing some progress? At least hairs are coming out finer and less dense but its hard to say and maybe I'm just coping haha. She said if I see hairs coming through quite soon after my session, book in again as she'd rather zap them than me shave or trim.

I'm always in doubt if its working when I look on Reddit, sometimes it feels like there's resistance when she's pulling out the zapped hairs and she'll say they're being stubborn today. I'll ask "oh no, am I not hydrated enough?" idk I always ask that, and she'll say no we're getting a good reaction. I'm not an expert in any of this, I'm just nervous its working yknow.

Anyway it's been 2 days since my last appointment and I can feel a few stubbly hairs so I thought I'd ask 😄

Hey!

My current work laptop (Asus Expertbook B7 Flip B7402F) from 2022 isn't doing so good. With nothing but a Google Meets call running, the CPU is reaching 90c and 80% CPU. Videos stutter/lag, but my speeds are fine, not quite sure on the problem. The fan LOVES to kick to a point I can't hear my calls.

My employer is letting me look at what's out there. I need something light and portable, with a great screen since I don't use an external monitor. I love glossy screens that are high contrast and crisp.

My personal laptop is an Asus Zenbook Pro UX501. Super old but running incredibly well from 2016, I love it.

Essentials are:

  • i7 or equivalent processor (I like the sound of the Ultra 7)
  • 16gb RAM (or more depending if it fits budget)
  • 512gb SD
  • Windows Pro but doesn't have to be pre-installed.

My boss is pusing for things like the

  • Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5, Intel Core Ultra 5, 24GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 16 Inch OLED Laptop, 83JM0039UK for £680 @ Costco but it's too big and bulky
  • Lenovo Slim 3 15.3in R5 24GB 512GB Laptop for £629 @ Argos but again, too big and bulky

My personal finds are

  • LENOVO Yoga Slim 7 14" Laptop, Copilot+ PC - Intel® Core™ Ultra 7, 1 TB SSD, Grey for £800 @ Currys
  • ASUS Zenbook 14 Laptop, Intel Core Ultra 5 Processor, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 14” OLED Touch Screen, Blue, £709 @ John Lewis

LAPTOP QUESTIONNAIRE

Total budget (in local currency) and country of purchase. Please do not use USD unless purchasing in the US:

£850

Are you open to refurbs/used?

No, work won't allow

How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life?

Lightweight but decent battery, premium feel (I really like Asus)

How important is weight and thinness to you?

Very important for commuting (but not too thin at the expense of overheating!)

Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.

14"

Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.

No. I'm a spatial data scientist, so I usually have open: Excel, DataGrip, Chrome, QGIS. Often on Google Meet calls, and using Google Cloud for heavy computing.

If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?

Not applicable

Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?

A good quality keyboard with a centred trackpad. Not bothered about backlit keys or finger print reader.

Thanks guys!
