Looking for lasik/ICL doc is getting me very cynical

I dont qualify for Lasik as my cornea will be too flat after Lasik (cornell told me this), and the clinics I go to for EVO ICL keep pushing me for lasik, even tho I do NOT qualify.

A clinic salesperson even said Cornell was wrong (i highly doubt it) and then the surgeon came and said I dont qualify for lasik.

Too flat cornea=loss of color vision/contrast sensivity.

Everyone pushing me to go for Lasik instead of Evo ICL because of higher margins and because its faster to perform. but I do NOT qualify for it.

Its very shady...

10 yr update since surgery

Hi, this is my progress/success story. NOT MEDICAL ADVICE.

I realize theres always no good news reddit posts after people move on from their illness/medical procedures. So I wanted to post some good news stories.

10 years ago, I woke up in the middle of the night in college with my lung collapsed, and I fainted. I ended up in the ER and got the lung reinflated, but it started to deflate again a few days later, so I had VATS pneumothorax surgery/talc pleurodesis .

I've had a normal life since the surgery. (The first few years after the surgery, my chest felt off but thats prob from the inflammation; it gradually got better over time and never returned.)

So yeah, if you have any questions, just ask! And yeah, the surgery hurt like a motherfucker

Has anyone gone out of state for ICL?

Ive been to a few ICL providers andthey ALL gave red flags. .

Im thinking of flying out of state to get my procedure... I do not want issues due to incorrect sizing of the ICL lens.

I feel Im being too cautious but it is a surgical procedure and I do not want sizing issues later on with the halos/glare/eye pressure.

Has anyone gone out of state for ICL?

anyones static got better after strabismus surgery...

The doc says I have a bit of strabismus, Im thinking of getting the surgery, but another doc warned its a tiny bit risky and to think about it before proceeding.

Im wondering if anyone has gotten strabismus surgery here?

Did it help or worsen your static?
