Lost gym motivation - any advice?

Hi all, I’m a 28 year old male who has been going to the gym regularly since being about 16 years old. I’ve found that for the past year or so my motivation has massively dropped in the gym, and even though I still go fairly regularly I tend to have shorter and less intense sessions because I simply find a lot of it boring. I used to be so much more motivated and would enjoy the workouts far more but have lost that somewhere along the way, now I tend to go through the same old exercises and go through the motions before heading home. I think a personal trainer would be good for accountability but I can’t afford that, and my friends go to other gyms. Has anyone else been in a similar position and re-found their spark? How did you do this?

It’s worth adding that I’m fine mentally and I’m not suffering from a lack of motivation in wider life, it’s simply when I’m in the gym. I generally try and do the “right” things outside the gym despite liking the odd pint and takeaway – I don’t smoke, have a fairly good diet, get enough sleep etc.
