How dialogue-heavy is this game?

This sounds like a game that I'd love, thinking of getting it during the summer sale. My one concern is the game focusing more on story/cut scenes and dialogue than I prefer.

Does the game feel like a lot of time is spent on dialogue? Or is it well balanced between the rest of the gameplay?

Thank you!

We just bought an old house, and the doors and doorframes are painted with lead. Most of them are in good shape and not an immediate issue, but this one is actively peeling and is a room we'll use regularly (pics below.)

We want kids, so we'll need to find a long-term solution to all of the rough-looking doors, but what would you recommend doing for this doorway in the short-term? Should we encapsulate it? Use a chemical peeler to get rid of it? Appreciate any suggestions and first-hand experience.

Pics here.
