GSE Firmware Etcher Error

Needing to re-flash my GoldSE, Etcher failed loading to getting installed on a microSD card. It was the latest release so I wasn’t sure what was going on. Can’t quite remember the error but something like metadata not correct. Anyway since Etcher was not taking the image, I used the Raspberry PI image application on my Mac. I didn’t select a RPi platform but selected the GSE image and targeted the microSD card - it worked! I used this for reflashing the GoldSE and all is well.

Order ‘License & Certifications’ by date in user profile

The license & certifications doesn’t allow for any sorting. The basic one would be by date which isn’t there by default. I wanted to report this via feature request but haven’t found a way to do this. [basic user, not premium]

Turn Off Nav indications in Display Cluster

There was another post and many folks annoyed that they can’t disable navigation updates in their display cluster. Basically annoying their preferred gauge view with navigation route updates that overtake each time there is a new notification.

The standard settings with any gauge in a Porsche is to press-down the (right) scrolling thumb wheel to get the settings. This is Porsche basics in using the display cluster. The ‘focus of control’ for settings will change with each gauge view. I believe each and every gauge has its own settings.

So make sure you landed on navigation gauge on the right gauge. Next get to the settings as described above with thumb wheel. Then disable Route Directions as circled in red above - yes, press-down the right thumb wheel to deselect route directions. Now you won’t have navigation notifications in the right display gauge as to you preferred Porsche experience. You will still have navigation in the HUD and/or PCM as this is setting change is unaffected by this display cluster setting.
