97th percentile natural birth?
We had a 32 week growth ultrasound yesterday and found out our baby is in the 97th percentile. They estimated she weighs 5.5 lbs but I know they could be off by up to a pound and I am requesting another ultrasound at 36 weeks. I was planning to birth natural at the midwifery connected to our hospital, but because of her size, I am no longer eligible due to heightened risk factors. I dont have preeclampsia or diabetes but I am over 35. I am told her size increases risk of shoulder dystocia.

Have any mamas had a successful natural birth with a baby in the 97th percentile?
