hey guys, I’m the author of the linked post. I did it, I’m out of the house. My mom is emailing me, my aunt from overseas is texting me, all my old friends are telling me my mom is calling them, my brother is texting me. They’re all saying that they’re super worried and confused, but I don’t understand what’s there to be confused about I literally explained everything in the note and told them I’m going to be safe. I’m thinking I should email my mom back though and tell her I’m safe don’t worry again.

I am a 22 year old girl, I have savings and about to graduate university in 2 weeks.

I've decided today that I have had enough of my parents. They love me to death and I love them as well but I am going to die from anxiety in this house.

So, my mom found a vape in my room and completely went batshit crazy. She started saying im not a girl, im a fat piece of shit that sits in her room all day smoking and playing video games like a boy, etc, etc, really mean cruel shit. I thought my dad would be on my side, but no he was also pissed. My parents for a really long time have been pretty more lenient with my brother, he was allowed to have a girlfriend. They know he lost his virginity and they know he smokes cigarettes, vapes, and nicotine pouches. THEY DO NOT CARE. But when I make a mistake it's over, because im supposed to be the perfect muslim daughter who can do no wrong. When I ask them why they dont get mad at my brother, they say "hes a boy why do you compare yourself to him."

So yeah chat, I've had enough.

Ive decided after exams I will be running away to a friends house. We both have internships lined up after graduation so hopefully we'll be able to find an apartment as well.

I just want to ask for advice if anyone relates. I do have all my important documents by the way.
