What is it like to wait for the new chapter of Adopting Strays

SPOILER OF ADOPTING STRAYS - CHAP 35 !!!!!

POOR REZE.

A bit late here, I only read it yesterday. But what did you think of the last chapter?

It's a chapter of preparation for the next one, so not much happens even though there is a lot of action. I liked it, but I have a complaint about how Denji behaved.

I found it a bit strange that he wanted to jump into the fight right away. It makes sense, but I think Denji would see a battle as a last resort. Yes, he is angry, of course, he was betrayed and killed by the one he loved the most, but I think it would fit better if the scene of Denji meeting and confronting Reze about what she did lasted longer. Without Power or Aki present, just the two of them. Denji would start out sad and confused, and during the discussion he would see that he had no choice but to fight her.

Anyway, this is my only complaint about this chapter. I'm really looking forward to the next one, especially to see the fight from Denji's point of view. I hope it shows that despite the anger, he is reluctant to hurt her and how extremely complex this situation is for him.

I have an opinion that I actually don't even know if it's a hot take or not, but it's about the beach scene.

I see a lot of people saying that Reze rejected him in this scene to protect him, something like that, but... I can't see it that way.

Tbh, I think Reze genuinely wanted to hurt Denji in this scene. I'll elaborate:

I think that of all the scenes in the movie, the one on the beach is the scene in which Reze is most in conflict with herself. She is not as angry as she was during the battle, but she is also no longer as hopeful as when she made the offer to run away with Denji.

Her head at this moment is a mess of emotions, and one of these emotions is anger/resentment. When Denji refuses the offer and even mentions that he has Makima, it hurt Reze, a lot! And she kept this feeling inside her. So when she says it was all a lie, it is with the intention of hurting him with this rejection just as he hurt her.

And I know it may seem out of character, but we have to consider that Reze is feeling all of that for the first time, and the fact that she is still a teenager makes everything worse. When you are young, we have this habit of seeking revenge and wanting the other person to go through the same pain and such; this only confirms how human Reze was after all.

Of course, afterward she regrets it and tries to come back to him. Of course she came back, she liked him! I just think that in that beach scene she was feeling 1000 things for Denji.

This is my opinion. What do you think about this scene and what it means?
