The monotony and frustrations of life can begin to stack up. The work rat race can introduce a lot of unnecessary anxiety, life events can start to take a toll. It’s all part of the life experience…
But thank Khorne for Skarbrand the Exiled. 100 turns of watching our cripple-winged friend sprint through entire infantry regiments turning them into a smear on the battlefield and then 1v1’ing every lord unlucky enough to find themselves in that (mis)matchup has been therapy all of its own and now I feel ready to conquer the work week.
When WH3 first came out Skarbrand was the LL that I was most excited about. I played him endlessly until I came to the realization that there were other new lords in the game too. 4 years later, it would appear that he’s still my favorite.
Although I do enjoy the other Khorne LLs, I think that Skarbrand will always be on top for me. There’s enough early challenge and his position in the Badlands/Khemri can make for some fun late game shenanigans with invasions from other empires across the sea.
It will be interesting to see how/if Skarbrand will be implemented in the new 40K game and where he’ll be similar and where he will not. But for now, he’s perfect in WH3.
