I've played a lot of horror games and am thinking about one of these next which one should I go with?

•Layers of Fear (2023)

•The Mortuary Assistant

Or any other recommendations I welcome also

I've Played all Resident Evils,Silent Hills,Amnesia The Bunker and Rebirth,Alan wake 1&2,Visage, Madison,In sound mind, Beyond Hanwell, Alien Isolation,Outlast 1&2,The Quarry,Fobia St. Defina,Dead Space Trilogy and Remake,The Darkness 1&2,Blair Witch,Luto,Etc. I've played a lot of horror games I could go on and on just wondering if any of these are any good or must plays I've heard good things about them.

I just played through this game it's amazing all around from graphics to monsters to story to exploration to atmosphere excellent game all around if you explore alot and like puzzles this game is up there as one of the best horror games imo! There's so many places to explore if you rush through the story you can finish it really quick but if you take your time and explore the world it's so worth it. There was one building I went in and they had a Silent Hill 2 Easter egg the building was called Steel Frame Works or something like that and if you read the message on the computer it talks about a Team Bleeber and how they are making a game called Quiet Hill 2 Remake and how they don't want to release their game at the same time as them because their game will get overlooked or something of that nature but that's not the best part. When you go to leave the building instead of just going back outside you end up going into another dimension just like how Silent Hill does and there's enemies to fight in the other dimension it's great and very cool nod to Silent Hill but just wanted to share this game with this group if you haven't played it it's a very good game. It's a sequel I never played the first game Welcome to Hanwell but this one was so good I just might go check it out now. It reminds me of a mix of Resident Evil,Silent Hill, just a bunch of horror games pulled together you can tell they pulled inspiration from alot of different games. You get a lot of different weapons to kill with as far as I know only two guns I found but a lot of other things you can kill with chainsaw, tomahawk, machetes, frying pan, shanks, pipe bombs, shock bombs, axes the list is endless. It has inventory management and you can upgrade your inventory if you take the time to explore you have to put batteries in your flashlight or if you don't want to use a flashlight you can use glow sticks or flares. You can get night vision and upgrade your flashlight to put it on your gun it's dope just sharing as it's a game I really enjoyed and don't see enough people talking about and the graphics are so good for a indie game. You can end up in a strip club exploring then a museum then a underground tunnel then a mansion then a theme park. They have a good variety of creatures to fight witches, flammers, sleepers, I won't name them all and you can learn about them in different ways and there's different bosses there's even one place if you come across it where it's a guy that has a bunch of dolls that's trying to kill you its great. Worth checking out if your a horror game fanatic like myself. I had it on my wishlist for awhile but was hesitant to buy it because you just never know anymore if a game is worth it but it was on sale for 11.99 on Xbox series X and we'll worth it. I know it's on PC and PlayStation also pretty sure it's even on the switch now also. Sorry for the long post just really think this game needs more recognition.
